3–7 days of 24-hour medical supervision with direct coordination to our Long Beach hospital partner for any medical complications that require higher-acuity care.
Learn MoreMDCR Rehab opened in Downtown Long Beach in 2014 through a clinical partnership with a regional hospital system. Twelve years and 9,900+ patients later, we remain the treatment center the Long Beach medical community refers its own families to.
MDCR Rehab was built in 2014 through a clinical partnership between a Long Beach regional hospital system and a team of addiction medicine specialists. The partnership exists because hospital emergency departments were discharging patients back to no plan — and families were being left to figure out next steps without clinical guidance.
Our 59-bed campus on North Waite Court sits within walking distance of the emergency departments that refer into us. Continuity of care isn't a marketing claim here — the same records, the same clinical team, and the same family liaison carry through from ED to detox to discharge.

Founded in partnership with a Long Beach regional hospital system. Our medical protocols are coordinated with local ED and primary care providers — not delivered in isolation.
Our medical director sits on the clinical research committee of our hospital partner. Protocols update with the research — not with tradition.
Every clinician, nurse, and intake coordinator is trained in trauma-informed practice. Safety is the baseline, not the aspiration.
Peer mentor pairing within 72 hours, alumni Saturday meetings, and a 90-day post-discharge check-in cadence. Recovery works in relationship.

Learn More"I told my wife I'd go 'just to shut her up' and planned to walk out after three days. Three days became forty-five, and now I'm fourteen months sober. What changed? The team didn't try to sell me recovery. They just answered every question I asked with honesty, and kept doing that until I stopped wanting to leave."

"Ten years of being treated for 'anxiety' when nobody looked at the drinking. MDCR's dual diagnosis team untangled it in week two — ADHD was underneath both. New medication plan, new clinical approach, new life. I wish someone had asked the right questions a decade ago."
— Tamara E., dual-diagnosis-discovery arc
"As a mother watching your adult son choose treatment — it is the hardest wait of your life. MDCR's family clinician called me weekly with specifics, not reassurances. That honesty was a gift."
